Galleries, selling, contracts, invoices, and email
Plan a ShootProof move around the active clients, not the subscription date.
ShootProof can hold galleries and business records in the same account. Its plans scale by photo count and advertise commission-free selling. Patsy can help plan a staged replacement, but does not promise an automatic transfer of galleries, client activity, orders, contracts, or invoices.
Before deciding
Know what the current platform is doing well.
A move is justified by a specific improvement, not by temporary frustration with one screen or one price increase.
A ShootProof portfolio site may be simpler than the gallery and business system behind it. Treat the public rebuild and operational migration as separate work.
Photo-count limits affect the account's current footprint. Record actual gallery and image counts rather than guessing from plan name alone.
Commission-free selling does not remove lab, product, payment-processing, shipping, or tax costs from the old or new system.
Contracts, questionnaires, invoices, email campaigns, and gallery records may have different export and retention options.
Collect before starting
The account is not the backup.
Create an independent record of files, active client promises, business data, settings, links, and ownership before cancellation becomes a deadline.
Every original photograph plus a gallery list showing image count, client, date, privacy, expiration, and download permissions
Client contacts, leads, contracts, questionnaires, invoices, payments, and any open balance or signature
A list of recent gallery links sent to clients and where those links also appear on public pages or social profiles
The studio's intended retention rule for old galleries and business records after ShootProof access ends
Staged migration plan
Move the lowest-risk work first. Move the domain last.
Each phase has a result to verify before the next phase begins. Keeping the systems overlapped costs more briefly and can prevent much larger client-facing failures.
1. Identify every live obligation
Protect clients who are still selecting, downloading, paying, signing, or ordering.
List active galleries and the action each client still needs to take.
List open orders, unpaid invoices, unsigned contracts, pending questionnaires, and recent support issues.
Choose which records must finish in ShootProof and which can be recreated with client approval.
2. Build the new public and inquiry experience
Improve the outward-facing studio without disrupting delivery.
Provide Patsy with approved work, services, specialties, location information, voice, and policies.
Review the new website on desktop and mobile, then submit real test inquiries.
Map old portfolio URLs and gallery subdomains before touching DNS.
3. Verify delivery and selling
Do not move delivery or selling until a representative Patsy workflow has passed the studio's own client and commerce tests.
Keep ShootProof live until private galleries, commerce, and client delivery have been verified with a representative Patsy test.
Create a representative private gallery and test it outside the admin account.
Check authorized privacy, favorites, downloads, emails, product options, crops, payment, production, and order messages.
Document any missing behavior and decide whether to change the workflow, keep ShootProof longer, or postpone the move.
Be carefulDo not infer feature parity from a successful image upload. Client permissions and commerce require separate tests.
4. Move by client status
Use a staged schedule instead of a single account-wide switch.
Only after the destination workflow has passed the studio's client tests, move completed, low-risk galleries first and active decision-stage galleries last.
Send a new link only after verifying it and explain any changed deadline or access rule.
Retain exported business records and independent image backups before ending the subscription.
Patsy and PA Digital Studio are not affiliated with ShootProof. Export tools and platform policies change, so confirm current documentation and account options before planning the move.
Ready when you are
See the replacement before moving anything out of ShootProof.
Build and review the public direction first. Keep the existing site, account, client galleries, and domain untouched until you deliberately approve a change.
