Questions before claims

Trying Patsy for the first time
Questions raised by photographers deciding whether the first website result is worth their time.
01What can Patsy do before I create an account?+
The public conversation can answer photography-business questions, remember useful facts across its four modes, and produce a static website direction from sparse but sufficient information. After account activation, Patsy turns that direction into a multi-section site with preview, revisions, version history, approval, and managed publishing.Available nowGetting started
02What if I do not have a Google Business Profile?+
Describe what you photograph, where you work, the kind of client you want, and the next step that client should take. A listing is not required. When you choose a matching Google listing, Patsy can use its public name, category, address, phone, hours, rating, and recent reviews as starting facts. You still review every fact before publishing.Available nowGive Patsy useful context
03Can Patsy make something if I have not uploaded portfolio photographs?+
Yes, but the result should be treated as a design and messaging direction, not a finished portfolio. Demonstration imagery must not be presented as your work. Add real photographs before using the site to represent the quality or style of the studio.Available nowReview Patsy's work
04Is this another photography website template?+
Patsy uses purpose-built blocks because that makes quality, responsiveness, accessibility, and cost more controllable. The goal is not to hand every photographer the same theme. Patsy selects, adapts, and combines those blocks around the studio's specialty, work, location, offer, and preferred direction. The proof should be visible in how different studios are presented, not in an absolute claim that no reusable system exists.Available now
05Can I keep my current website while I try Patsy?+
Yes. Discussing and reviewing a Patsy website direction does not require changing the current domain or taking the current site offline. Keep the existing site live until a replacement has been built, tested, and deliberately published through a verified path.Available nowPublishing and domains
06What is required to create a founding account?+
After experiencing Patsy publicly, verify your email, add a card, and complete Stripe activation. That begins the 14-day trial. Durable account access does not begin from the public conversation alone.Founding releaseComplete pricing
Who Patsy is for
Questions from hobbyists, part-time photographers, and working studios trying to decide whether the product matches their actual business.
07I only photograph on weekends. Is this overkill?+
Part-time photographers are a primary fit when the work is good but the business has to coexist with a job, family, or limited session volume. Essential combines Patsy's four modes with 25 GB of active media storage, 100 monthly leads and 100 monthly appointments before an upgrade notice, up to 100 active products, 2,500 gallery photos, Prodigi sandbox integration, and custom-domain preparation.Founding releaseWho Patsy is best forComplete pricing
08Is Patsy only for beginners or side businesses?+
No. Studio is the $59 plan for higher-volume photographers. It includes 500 GB of storage, unlimited legitimate leads, 2,000 monthly appointments before an upgrade notice, up to 1,000 active products, 25,000 gallery photos, blog publishing, weekly competitor intelligence and weekly local map-pack heatmaps, Prodigi sandbox integration, custom-domain preparation, shared-context human product support, and optional Page by Patsy attribution. Studios that depend on contracts, deposits, complex CRM automation, or permanent archive storage should keep the specialized systems that handle those jobs.Founding releaseWho Patsy is best for
09Will Patsy understand my kind of photography?+
The website direction should begin with the specialty, client, location, process, and photographs supplied by the studio. Industry pages explain how the client journey changes for weddings, families, newborns, seniors, headshots, real estate, school and sports, and commercial work. That is more credible than claiming one generic workflow is equally good for every photographer.Available nowPhotography specialties
10What does Patsy not do?+
Patsy does not take the photographs, replace artistic judgment, manufacture a reputation, guarantee search rankings, promise bookings, or turn poor work into a premium studio. She does not currently replace contract, deposit, complex CRM, photo-editing, legal, tax, accounting, or permanent archival systems.Practical guidance
11What if I already have a website, gallery platform, or CRM I like?+
Keep the parts that are working. Compare Patsy against the actual problem you want to solve, such as public-site design, local discovery, scattered inquiries, gallery delivery, or too much manual follow-up. Migration should be staged, and no platform should be replaced simply because Patsy has a longer feature list.Practical guidanceCompetitor comparisonsAlternatives
AI, control, and trust
Questions about generic output, accidental actions, private information, and what happens when an AI is wrong.
12Do I have to learn how to prompt Patsy correctly?+
No prompt formula is required. Concrete facts and ordinary feedback are more useful than technical prompt language. Say what you photograph, who the site is for, what is true, what feels wrong, and what outcome you want. Patsy should ask for missing information rather than making an important business fact sound certain.Available nowGive Patsy useful context
13Will Patsy make my business sound and look like everyone else's?+
It can if the input is vague and the output is accepted without judgment. Patsy's block system is meant to keep production efficient while using the studio's real work, specialty, market, offer, and voice to determine the result. You should reject generic claims, filler copy, and a visual direction that could belong to any photographer.Available now
14Will Patsy publish, send a message, or change something without permission?+
The Founding release drafts first, shows the affected item, and requires recorded approval for website publication and outbound review requests. Published website versions are immutable, with a previous version republished through the same approval gate. Test print orders begin from a signed Stripe test webhook and submit idempotently to Prodigi sandbox.Founding releaseReview and approval guide
15Can I use normal controls instead of talking to AI?+
The Founding release includes Studio controls for website versions and publishing, leads, appointments, review requests, galleries, favorites, downloads, products, orders, billing, plan usage, and human support. Conversation is an easier way to coordinate supported work, not the only way to use the product.Founding release
16What happens when Patsy is wrong?+
Do not approve the result. Correct the fact or request a revision, use a direct control when available, or ask PA Digital Studio for help. The safest operating model makes consequential actions visible and reversible. Patsy should never be the final authority on the studio's prices, promises, policies, legal obligations, or artistic judgment.Practical guidanceHuman help
17Are my photographs or client data used to train AI?+
Patsy uses Anthropic's commercial API for AI-assisted conversations and supported work. Anthropic states that commercial API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models unless the customer opts into a separate development program or submits feedback. Relevant conversation and workspace context is sent when Patsy answers or acts, and Patsy separately retains conversation history in the tenant-scoped workspace. Uploaded assets are stored for the studio and related names, metadata, links, or content can be included when a request needs them. The published policy names the providers, purposes, retention boundaries, and photographer choices. Do not place payment-card details, highly sensitive client information, or an irreplaceable archive into a public AI conversation.Published policyPrivacy and data useOwnership and export guide
18Will my photographs, website, or feedback be used in Patsy's marketing?+
Evaluation or founding participation should not be treated as marketing permission. Patsy and PA Digital Studio should obtain separate, specific permission before publishing a photographer's name, photographs, website, feedback, or results as a public example or endorsement.Practical guidance
Pricing, fees, and plan boundaries
Questions about the card-backed trial, Founding 100 access, plan prices, capacity, attribution, and referral rewards.
19Can I talk to Patsy before signup?+
Yes. The public conversation comes before account creation. Verified email and a card are required when you create the account and begin the 14-day trial.Available nowComplete pricing
20What do the plans cost?+
Essential is $19 per month and Studio is $59 per month after the card-backed 14-day trial. Essential is sized for an independent photographer. Studio adds substantially more storage, unlimited legitimate leads, more appointment, product, and gallery capacity, a blog, weekly competitor intelligence, and weekly local map-pack heatmaps, then makes Page by Patsy optional. Both plans include Prodigi and shared-context human product support.Founding releaseComplete pricing
21What are the Essential and Studio limits?+
Essential includes 25 GB of active media storage, 100 monthly leads and 100 monthly appointments before an upgrade notice, up to 100 active products, and 2,500 gallery photos. Studio includes 500 GB, unlimited legitimate leads, 2,000 monthly appointments before an upgrade notice, up to 1,000 active products, and 25,000 gallery photos. Both plans include Prodigi sandbox integration and custom-domain preparation with exact DNS instructions and a pending state. Studio adds blog publishing, weekly competitor intelligence, and weekly local map-pack heatmaps. The photographer makes the external DNS change and completes final verification manually.Founding releaseComplete pricing
22What happens if I reach a plan limit?+
Patsy will not discard a real lead or confirmed appointment. Customer activity continues while the account receives an upgrade notice. New media uploads pause at the published storage or gallery-photo cap until capacity is freed or the plan is upgraded. New or reactivated products pause at 100 active products on Essential and 1,000 on Studio; existing products and order history stay intact.Founding releaseComplete pricing
23How does the Founding 100 limit work?+
The cohort is capped at 100 activated photographer accounts. No invitation code is needed; places are subject to availability. Reserved, abandoned, or failed activations do not count as active founding accounts.Founding releaseComplete pricing
24When does a referral earn the free month?+
Each founding account receives five single-use Patsy Passes. The referrer earns one free month only after the referred photographer completes a qualifying paid payment. A signup or trial alone does not earn a reward.Founding releaseComplete pricing
25Which plans display Page by Patsy?+
Published trial and Essential pages include the subtle attribution. Studio lets the photographer keep or remove it. The attribution is controlled by the renderer rather than by generated page content.Founding releaseComplete pricing
26Why does the trial require a card?+
The selected paid plan begins after 14 days unless you cancel first. The card requirement also protects the limited cohort and referral program from disposable trial accounts.Founding releaseComplete pricing
27Can I cancel or downgrade?+
Cancel before the 14-day trial ends to avoid the first subscription charge. A paid cancellation preserves access through the recorded period end. Past-due and inactive accounts pause consequential actions without deleting the account data. Keep independent originals and records because active delivery storage is not permanent archive storage.Founding releaseOwnership and export guide
Galleries, booking, prints, and growth
Questions about the broader photographer-studio system that Patsy is being built to support.
28How do private galleries and downloads work?+
Create a private gallery, upload supported images, and protect client access with an expiring signed link or PIN. Authorized clients can view images, select favorites, and download files you allow. Studio records favorites and downloads while storage and photo-count meters enforce the selected plan. Keep independent originals because the gallery is an active delivery surface, not the only archive.Founding releaseClient-gallery guide
29Can clients order prints directly?+
The Founding test-mode journey includes products, a client cart, Stripe test checkout, and Prodigi sandbox fulfillment on Essential and Studio. The photographer connects Prodigi sandbox credentials, completes Stripe Connect hosted test onboarding, and sets variants, cost, retail price, currency, and fulfillment details. A test payment creates one idempotent order, and Prodigi sandbox callbacks update its status. Production credentials and real charging wait for live go-live. Payment processing, production, shipping, and taxes remain separate provider costs.Founding releasePrint-ordering guide
30Does Patsy handle inquiries, bookings, deposits, and reminders?+
The Founding release collects managed-site inquiries into the correct Studio lead inbox, including source, contact details, service, consent evidence, status, notes, and timestamps. Open availability creates an appointment while preventing double booking, with Studio controls to confirm, reschedule, or cancel it. Contracts, deposits, and complex CRM reminder automation are not included.Founding releaseBooking guide
31What does it mean that Patsy helps with SEO?+
SEO mode works from the studio's real services, specialties, locations, site structure, local facts, content, and review habits. The Founding release creates location-focused pages only from markets and services the photographer states or approves, then publishes them through the website approval flow. Live rank tracking is not included, and Patsy does not guarantee rankings, traffic, inquiries, or bookings.Founding releaseSEO and growth guide
32Can a real person help me set this up or run it?+
Yes. PA Digital Studio is the accountable company behind Patsy and provides shared-context human product support by request. Support replies are asynchronous and return to the same conversation. Hands-on migration, custom implementation, and ongoing studio operation are separate services that must be scoped and quoted before work begins.Available nowHuman-help guide
33Are all the dashboard screens and studio features live today?+
The Founding release includes the four Patsy modes, website drafts and managed publishing, leads, appointment booking, approved review requests, private galleries, favorites, controlled downloads, products, Stripe test checkout, Prodigi sandbox fulfillment, plan usage, referrals, and shared-context human support. Studio adds blog publishing plus weekly competitor intelligence and weekly local map-pack heatmaps. Custom-domain setup provides exact DNS instructions and a pending state, but the photographer makes the external DNS change and completes final verification manually. Contracts, deposits, and complex CRM automation are not included.Founding releaseUser documentation
Migration, ownership, and leaving
Questions from photographers who have years of sites, galleries, records, or search history inside another platform.
34Is migration included?+
Planning guides and checklists can be free. Hands-on migration by PA Digital Studio is separate work and is quoted before it begins. Patsy should not claim one-click migration for a platform unless the specific content, gallery, client, order, and SEO path has been tested end to end.Available nowMigration guides
35Will all my galleries, favorites, passwords, and orders move automatically?+
Do not assume they will. Export coverage and provider APIs differ, and some records may not have a supported import path. Keep the old system live, back up originals independently, inventory active client links, and verify the destination gallery by gallery before cancellation.Practical guidanceMigration guides
36Do I keep my domain, photographs, and written content?+
Yes. The domain and creative material remain yours. The published terms give PA Digital Studio and its providers only the limited processing license needed to host, operate, support, and deliver the service. Custom-domain setup provides the exact DNS records and a pending state, while the external DNS change remains manual. Keep independent originals and business records. Detailed bulk-export formats for every Studio record are not promised as part of this release.Published policyTerms of serviceOwnership and export guide
37Will moving hurt my search visibility?+
Any site move can create risk. Preserve important page topics and metadata, map old URLs to useful new pages, keep the current site live during testing, verify forms and analytics, and change the domain only after the new version is ready. Neither Patsy nor another platform can guarantee that rankings will remain unchanged.Practical guidancePublishing and domainsSEO and growth guide
38What happens if I leave Patsy?+
Cancellation during the trial prevents the first payment. Paid cancellation preserves access through the recorded period end, and inactive status pauses consequential actions without silently deleting data. Keep independent copies of original photographs, contracts, financial records, and anything difficult to recreate because Patsy is not the studio's permanent archive or legal system of record.Founding releaseOwnership and export guide
